Step 1: Start a New Project

  • Open a new project in Dala
  • Select a blank project or an assistant/chat template if available

Step 2: Describe Your AI Agent

  • Enter a prompt explaining what you want the agent to do

Example:

“Create an AI customer support agent for an e-commerce store that can answer questions about orders, shipping, and returns.”

Other examples:

“Create an AI study assistant that helps students answer questions about math and science.”

“Build an AI HR assistant that answers employee questions about leave, benefits, and company policies.”

“Create an AI travel assistant that recommends hotels, restaurants, and activities.”


Step 3: Generate the Scaffold

  • Click Generate to create the AI agent interface
  • Dala will create a chat layout with input fields, response area, and conversation flow

Step 4: Customize the Agent

  • Add a name for the agent
  • Update the welcome message
  • Change colors, fonts, and button styles
  • Add your company logo or branding if needed

Step 5: Define What the Agent Can Do

  • Decide what the AI agent should answer or help with
  • Add prompts, categories, or suggested questions

Examples:

  • Order tracking
  • Appointment booking
  • Product recommendations
  • FAQs
  • Internal team support

Step 6: Test the Agent

  • Use the Live Preview to interact with the AI agent
  • Ask different questions and check the responses
  • Refine the wording, layout, or suggestions if needed

Step 7: Refine and Expand

  • Add more features over time
  • Include buttons, forms, file upload, or integrations
  • Improve the design and make the responses more natural

Step 8: Share or Deploy

  • Share the AI agent with others using the project link
  • Or connect it to your website or internal tool
