Welcome to the Transcribe feature in Gebeya Dala Studio! Our powerful audio tools allow you to seamlessly convert written text into high-quality spoken audio, or take an existing audio file and transcribe it into text.
How to Access the Transcribe Tool
To get started, log in to your Gebeya Dala Studio account. On your main dashboard, look at the row of tool tabs located right in the center of your screen.
- Click on the more dropdown menu located on the far right side of the tabs.
- Select Transcribe from the dropdown list to open the audio studio.
Step-by-Step Guide: Text to Audio
Turn your scripts, prompts, or ideas into spoken audio.
1. Select the Mode
At the top of the interface, ensure the toggle is set to the orange TEXT TO AUDIO option.
2. Input Your Text
Click into the main text area and type or paste the text you want to convert to audio.
- Note: You must enter a minimum of 100 characters up to a maximum of 2000 characters for the generation to work. The tool supports multiple languages already supported by Gebeya Dala, including English, Amharic, Swahili, Arabic, and French.
3. Choose Your AI Model and Voice
At the bottom left of the screen, you will find two dropdown menus to customize your output:
- AI Model: Click the first dropdown to choose your underlying AI model. You can select either Dala or Hasab AI.
- Voice/Style: Click the second dropdown to select the specific voice profile or tonal style for your audio.
- If you select the Dala model, you will have access to dynamic voice styles (e.g., Fire).
- If you select the Hasab AI model, you will have access to regional and localized voice profiles, including Hanna, Selam, Aster, Yared, Haile, and Bekele.
4. Generate
Once your text is ready and your settings are selected, click the large orange TRANSCRIBE button on the bottom right.
Step-by-Step Guide: Audio to Text
Quickly convert spoken audio files into written text.
1. Select the Mode
At the top of the interface, click the toggle to select the AUDIO TO TEXT option.
2. Upload Your Audio File
You will see a designated upload area in the center of the screen. You can either:
- Drag and drop your audio file directly into the dotted box.
- Click the orange CHOOSE FILE button to browse your computer’s folders.
- Important Note: Currently, the only supported file format for transcription is WAV. Ensure your audio file is saved as a .wav before uploading.
3. Transcribe
Once your file is successfully uploaded, click the TRANSCRIBE button at the bottom right to generate your text transcript.
